Family Time

Ben recently returned from sea and had some much needed time off. We did lots of sight seeing around town and headed to Atlanta for a family vacation. I have always wanted to go to the World of Coke Museum and Ben wanted to go to a baseball game so off we went. We didn't make it to the game, but the Coke Museum did not disappoint.

The girls loved the aquarium and while they visited the gift shop I was able to tour the special Titanic exhibit. Upon entering the exhibit they give you a boarding pass with a name on it and tell you to check at the end to see if "you" lived. This really affected me as I was watching kids run around joking about how they died. But those were real people with real families that froze to death for no reason. I just felt like they deserved more respect than that.

We also toured the CNN Center, visited the Underground, & the Zoo. It was a very busy couple of days, but very fun!

Looks like you had a great time. Glad your kids like soda too...Bruce has mine in love with Mountain Dew...yuk. You guys all look great. Have you ever been to the holocaust museum in DC? That made me feel horrible. It was fascinating but when you leave and go outside into the sunshine, you have this heavy feeling because you just experienced something horrific.

It sounds like a great trip to me. Whenever you guys make it back towards NC, you could visit the home of Pepsi... just don't call order a Coke while you're there.

Maybe we can schedule a meet-up in Atlanta sometime soon and get Ben caught up on the game that got away from him. Did you guys happen to see any of the whale sharks?

..and remember, not everyone has kids as well-behaved and cool as you guys.
